New Web FeaturesME redesigns it's website1/26/00 -- The ME-Web department has just released the latest upgrade to the company website (David.McGarvey.com) using the new internet features such as web based request forms. This site includes Environmental, Computer/Video, and About ME sections. Visitors can browse each section and request additional information using web-based forms. ME is a service based, technology oriented company with three departments: 1) Environmental Consulting, 2) Professional Digital Video (DV) and Photography Solutions, and 3) Computer/Web and Software/Hardware Custom Development. Check back often for new developments and additions to the website. Visitor feedback is welcomed... Return from Australia December 3, 1999 -- The time flew by during the 2+ weeks
in Australia. Brisbane was the first stop. Lots of
plans to see the Great Barrier Reef, Gold and Sunshine Coasts, mountains, rain
forests, Outback... all in a week. Needless to say, the next trip back
to Australia will
include the Barrier Reef and Outback, just to see them for the first time.
First lesson: Be realistic. Australia is almost the size of the
United States and the system of roads (or lack of) leaves something to be
desired. Petting the
koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies was really nice. Koalas are softer than
they look! Sydney was the second stop, for eight days. The ferry
system in the Sydney Harbor is the best. Ferries leave from six docks at Circular Quay in all
directions all day long. It's technically public transportation, but
it's kind of like cheap cruises you could take anywhere and anytime.
An unlimited ferry/train/subway/bus pass costs Aus$33 (US$22). This
is well worth the price, especially so since most of the major streets and
highways are currently being expanded for this summer's Olympic
events. Sydney highlights include the Sydney Aquarium, Opera House, Olympic Village,
climbing the Harbor Bridge, and touring the USS Constellation. Click here for
